Hello Conley, and all you other Detonics buffs. Who among you has any info on publications setting out the history of Detonics pistols, with specific regard to the various early (non-stainless) .45 ACP models, the "Combat Master" various series, and the serial numbers that belong to each? The BiggerHammer board does have some history as to early innovators, and their contributions. And of course there is the corporate history of the various incarnations of companies that produced or at least bought the name and assets. Frankly, I'm interested in just about everything concerning this most remarkable marque. Still, at this point I'd be glad to settle for really reliable and authoritative info as to the several models of .45's, their materials and features, and the serial number ranges of each. I'm sure I'm not the only one of our band who wants this kind of reference material. Please scratch your memories, ask other buffs, and see whether we can find such material, or if it doesn't exist, perhaps we could make a start on this discussion board. L8TR.
