Detonics USA will be making parts available in time. Some have said as soon as next week. I have some parts but I would say that you should wait and see what they have coming up. The external-extractor slide is a no-go as far as I know. STI makes a small short slide gun with that setup but I don't know if it would be a worthwhile venture to try to convert. Hope this helps....
