Doug, Why don't you save your money and listen to Conley. The pocket 9 was an ill concieved attempt at developing a small pocket pistol. The gun is quite heavy, which eliminates pocket carry and they had constant feeding problems.
It's amazing how often people become nostalgic over a supposed "collector
gun". Is a gun that is worth between $250 and $450 after nearly Twenty years
and which has a deservedly "bad" reputation, ever going to command the attention
or monetary value associaited with true collector status? I think not! Besides,
even the much vaunted and legendary combatmaster, had many "teething" problems during its short lived career as well.
How, Jerry Ahern plans to sell revised versions of this gun at $1200 dollars plus, and survive in this highly competitive niche market is beyond me. What
with the plethora of chopped .45's from the likes of Kimber, Para-ord, Glock,
Springfield Armory, and a host of others and selling from between $650 and
$900 dollars, Detonics will be hard pressed. I think it might be time once
again to begin stocking up on Detonics parts and accessories. The predictable
end may once again be in sight in the very near future! With so many options available in the subcompact 9mm category your money would be better spent
elsewhere.
