So, when you manually rack the slide, it locks, but never does so when firing? My gun had a problem with premature slidelock, so I had the slidestop dimpled to keep it down. Afterwards, not all of my mags had springs strong enough to overcome the new detent. I switched to ISMI Officers ACP springs in my 6-rounders, and Wolff x-tra springs in my full-length 7-rounders, and have had no problems since. Perhaps the stronger springs would solve your problem, too?
