I've handled two or three Swenson guns, and they are beauties. I live in the Seattle area, and Armand's name, and I believe one of his boats, are prominent at our local hydroplane museum. I subscribed to Guns & Ammo in the '70s and '80's, and when I threw out the magazines, I kept all the articles about Swenson, Detonics, and Seecamp, thinking that they might be of interest in 30+ years. I go back a re-read them, every year or so.
The latest American Handgunner has a review of the old Semmerling manually-operated .45 pocket pistol, and the article features a photographic comparison of the Semmerling and a New Detonics Combat Master (were they called Combat Master II?) that had been converted by Seecamp to double action. Interesting guns and interesting story.
