The round is pretty much seated properly in the magazine, perhaps ever so slightly nosed downward, but not enough (I would think anyway) to keep from picking up the round.
I neglected to mention that I am using factory detonics (45 ACP marked) magazines, and the new Detonics USA mags as well.
I have owned and do own several of these pistols, and another issue I'm noticing is the felt recoil on this particular pistol. It is VIOLENT! I initially put a Wolff 24Lb spring in it, and in about 200 rounds it was compressed almost a 3rd it's original size. SO I put a Detonics USA triple spring in it, this helped but not a lot. This is where I came to the conclusion that the Mainspring may need to be replaced I think it still has the original in it. Could this slow that violent slide down?
Thanks,
Chris
