Boy, I didn't realize how hard it is to find information on the Pocket 9! This place seems like a good start. I just purchased a Pocket 9, or perhaps a Power 9 just because I've always wanted one. I'm trying to determine if it's a "Power" 9, and if so what all the differences are. It has the polished flats on the slide. It also has an orange piece (looks factory to me) in front of the front sight-post. Mine has the sights inside of the milled groove on the slide. It has the aluminum grips and the alen-head screw.
Is there anything else that distinguishes a Pocket 9 from a Power 9? Would what I've described be a Power 9? Is a Power 9 more rare or desireable than a Pocket 9, or does not not really matter?
I've noticed that some models of the Pocket 9 have plastic grips. Some have sights that are not inside of the milled grove. And some have a slotted grip screw instead of the flush allen screw. Why the differences and is there any way to date the gun based on its features?
