Dave, any good quality 1911 style mag should work in your 9-11-01. It's also true for the parts that are made to gov't specs. i.e. If the part looks like it will interchange with a 1911 part, then it will. (again, assuming good quality parts). It's only the distinctively Detonics parts, such as the reverse cone barrel, that won't interchange. Such Detonics parts are not likely to fail anytime soon.

As for recoil springs and such like, I'll bet that those will become available when the gunsmith/production engineer guy starts working for a new company. He knows that folks will want backup parts, and capitalism will take over. I wouldn't doubt that he's preparing new drawings, specifications, etc, that will be able to duplicate those kinds of parts.
