I just acquired a very early MK-I and would have a few questions. (Seattle 25xx) This has an extended slide release and an extended safety. Does anyone know where to find a correct slide release and safety? Did these early guns use standard 1911 parts from the 1970s? Also, this has a single wire recoil spring. Was this single wire spring correct for a very early MK-I? And lastly, does anyone have a very early instruction sheet that they could make a copy for me? Thanks for any help you can provide.
