Well, I thought I would keep this, but I've changed my mind. This is an extremely nice 40X single shot with the heavy barrel. It is a US Property marked training rifle, purchased from the CMP, documentation will be included. There are only a couple minor bluing defects which I've tried to show in the pictures, but otherwise it's deeply polished and shiny. It's got the target blocks for a Unertl style scope, and also a mount for a redfield style peep sight and has factory holes for Remington 700 scope mounts. No sights are included.

The stock is near perfect with only a couple of very minor dings. The buttplate is original and in very good condition. The forearm rail shows typical wear and scratches from moving a handstop around. There are a couple of minor scratches on the trigger guard. The best ammo I've shot out of it is Federal Gold Medal Match and the second best has been Wolf Match. I've shot under half inch groups at 50 yards with peep sights with either ammo.

This Remington 03A3 rifle is in very good condition with an excellent bore. The barrel is a 4 groove. The walnut stock is in very nice shape with only a few minor handling mark. Finish on metal parts is very good. Some parts are blued. An overall very good + condition WWII 1903-A3.
