Semi-corrosive is like being sort of pregnant. I figure it is either corrosive, or not. Corrosive ammo is no problem, in a military weapon that is easily cleaned properly. The scary thing is when something is fired with corrosive unknowingly. If I buy a mil-surp-type weapon, I clean it as if it was fired with corrosive upon getting it home. I don't think I would knowingly buy a case of it, though.
The US stopped making corrosive ammo by the mid-fifties (later with some .30 match ammo); .30 carbine was non-corrosive from the start.
