Thanx for the info. There is nothing wrong, I just have this habit of when I pick up a new gun, I have it checked out by someone who knows what they are doing. That habit may well have saved my rear once when I bought a pre-64 model 70 rifle. The reciever was cracked, but I could not see it, but he found it. malhond.
