Your mistaken,.....Armand made a few DA's using a Seecamp conversion! I was in his shop on MANY ocassions and had one of these in my hands! He was willing to experiment,....at times, with systems that he thought had some merit. I never heard him say anything to undermine the Seecamp system and one must consider that he would, during the testing of a completed gun; have taken it out and shot it enough to have a thought or two on it!
What might be considered here is that Armand, let the person BUYING his services dictate the options,.......something he called CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! He truly tried to be of help if someone asked his opinion but he never forced his opinion as the only way for someone to go. I was fortunate, in that I was a MARINE,.....serving at Pendleton,......living less than 9 miles away, (as the crow flies);.......and I was a frequent guest in his house during the years (1983-1986). (I had supper with he and his wife Irene at least 3 nights a month during those years and I went to combat pistol matches with him on many occassions. He was my friend,.......a mentor to my shooting progress,....and a man to whom I still regard as one of the finest I have ever met.
I mean no dispect in calling this to your attention,.....merely to set the record straight!
