Hello, I recently bought a pistol that is a Detonics Combatmaster I believe. I had one as a kid and have no always wanted another. I came across one and bought it for a song. It has a bit of a worn slide with a little slop and much slide wear, but none the less a nice piece. I would appreciate any help with the identification of this pistol.
The slide has no markings except what appears to be an engraved ser. # on the inside which matches the frame, the slide appears to have been blue at one time.sights are fixed and have no adjustment. They are in the ussual CM location. It has what appears to be a two piece barrel with a seam right in front of the lock up.
The frame is blue and on the right side it says Detonics Assoc. Seattle Wa.
I 52xx There are no other markings. it has the turned down hammer.
I have spoken to some gunshop guys and smiths in the area and they say if it has not been made in bellevue it is a copy. I would appreciate any help, they have said I was taken for a ride and ripped off for the 300.00 I payed. Thank You for all the help and I will see you on the yahoo forum. If anyone has any questions or would like to see photos e-mail me at ak.res.q@wildak.net
