Howdy Rick....
What kind of life do you get from the King's Springs? The washers are for adjusting the guide rod length to the individual slide/frame. Of all the Combatmasters I've had a few had no washers, most had 1-2, a couple had 3, and one had five. If I would have been thinking I would have measured everything and then been able to determine where the slop was that they were trying to adjust for. The washers were placed on the end of the guide rod under the screw. They are the same size as the guide rod and I can't remember how thick. Detonics originally had them out of Bronze but I've also seen them out of SS. I can't find the right size (TINY) in bronze so the ones that I've been using are SS. Evidently washers go up in price when they get very small, I have to purchase a minimum of 200 and then they are .73 ea!!!!!!!! So I probably have enough to replace almost every washer still in service!
