Howdy folks-

I've detected a bit of peening on the slide where the slide stop contacts it. Is this normal for Detonics? I have a couple of 80 series Colts, a stainless gold cup and a blue combat gov't, with many thousands of rounds through them, and there is no peening.

Also- The extractor broke, so I bought a Colt stainless 70 series unit to replace it. I couldn't get it to function properly, so I took it to a local 'smith who was unable to do any better. The extractors looked identical except the Colt unit stuck out the back of the slide a bit.

Any thoughts?
