Based on the serial number and the appearance of the slide I'd say your CM was returned to the factory at some time during the late 70's and had the slide replaced. The slide you now have appears to be a one piece rather than a cut & weld. It's most likely, however, that the barrel is still a two piece, and if so, I'd not recommend that you shoot it a lot.
